About this course

What the CompTIA Linux+ Certification (Exam XK0-004) course covers

You take CompTIA Linux+ Certification (Exam XK0-004) online, at your own pace, without booking a place on anything. It is built as 15 modules, so there is an obvious place to stop each time. Your login lasts 12 months, which is long enough to come back to a section when the subject turns up at work.

What it covers: Intro & Performing Basic Linux Tasks, Managing Users and Groups, Managing Permissions and Ownership and Managing Storage. Another 11 modules follow, and the Modules tab lists every one of them.

It builds on the basics rather than covering them again, so it is the second course on a subject and not the first. We list 37 Cybersecurity courses, of which 20 sit at Intermediate. There is a certificate of completion at the end, available from your account. It is proof you covered the material, not a regulated qualification.

Worth knowing before you buy: It is not an awareness course: if the subject is completely new to you, something introductory will be better value. There is no CPD accreditation attached, which matters only if somebody has specifically asked you for it.
