What the AWS – Certified Cloud Practitioner course covers

Everything in AWS – Certified Cloud Practitioner is delivered online and on demand - no classroom, no cohort, no waiting list. There are 16 modules to work through, and most people give it 17 hours in total. Your login lasts 12 months, which is long enough to come back to a section when the subject turns up at work.

What it covers: Introduction to Cloud Computing, Identity and Access Management IAM, Elastic Cloud Computing EC2 and EC2 Storage. 12 more modules follow those, all named on the Modules tab.

It builds on the basics rather than covering them again, so it is the second course on a subject and not the first. We list 37 Cybersecurity courses, of which 20 sit at Intermediate. It is one of the longer ones in the subject, so budget an evening rather than a lunch break. You finish with a certificate of completion you can download immediately. It evidences the training rather than being an Ofqual-recognised qualification.

The honest caveats: It is not an awareness course: if the subject is completely new to you, something introductory will be better value. There is no CPD accreditation attached, which matters only if somebody has specifically asked you for it.

Amazon Web Services certifications are very common in the IT industry. However, with over 90 distinct services, it is very difficult to know what to even study if preparing for one of the certification exams. In this course, you will learn the foundational cloud computing concepts and AWS services needed to achieve the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.

First, you will learn core concepts about cloud computing and its differences from traditional data centers. Next, you will review the core AWS services that are covered in the exam. Finally, you will review techniques for taking the exam that will improve your overall score. When you have completed this course, you will have the knowledge and skills that you need to successfully complete the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.
