About this course

What the Depression Awareness course covers

Depression Awareness is taught entirely online, so there is nothing to attend and no start date to wait for. The material comes as 5 modules and takes about 45 minutes end to end. There is no clock on it, so a week off in the middle changes nothing.

The course works through Introduction, The Causes of Depression, Effects on the Individual, Family & Friends and Depression Management and Support - Part 1. There are 1 further modules beyond those, listed in full on the Modules tab.

This is a first course in dental & medical rather than a refresher for people already trained. We list 40 Dental & Medical courses, of which 15 sit at Beginner. At this length it is one of the quicker ones in the subject. It carries CPD accreditation, which is what makes the hours usable on a CPD log, and the certificate downloads straight away.

The honest caveats: It is an introduction, so it is the wrong buy if you want depth on one narrow part of the subject.
